Sam at the Fair

Sam and Poppa went to the fair last night. It was actually our second trip. We had fun playing on the tractors and seeing the animals, though Sam wasn't certain about petting them. His favorite thing though was the merry-go-round.

New Glarus Beer

This beer is my consolation for missing the fun in Wisconsin, as I didn't get to go cause of my new job. And while it isn't the same as getting to spend time with family, it is still some really good beer. Before now I had never tried New Glarus beer, as it is only for sale in it's home state. But Kate was kind enough to bring me back some Crack'd Wheat beer and Moon Man pale ale. While both good, the Crack'd might be some of the best beer I have ever tried. The label says it is a combo of a hefeweizen and pale ale, but to me it tastes a lot like it has a Belgian yeast strain in it. Whatever it is brewed with it was excellent, especially after working yesterday at a book sale. The pale ale was good too, didn't have the unique flavor of the wheat beer.
