Beer Time

It has been quite awhile since there has been a beer review posted. So for good measure here are two.

The first is Unibrue 15, an anniversary strong ale from those Belgian loving French-Canadian brewers. This is a beer that I got for Christmas several years ago and have let it age, as it is an ale-on-lees, which means it gies through a secondary fermentation in the bottle. It was a very smooth, potent swill after 5 years of sitting. It was a nice golden color with not a lot of corbonation left Dad and I share it after Sam birthday.

The other one is Furry from North Peak brewing in Traverse City. This is a brother brewery to the Jolly Pumpkin brewery. I have yet to have a bad beer from them. Just wish you could buy it in Indiana. Furry is a black Indua Pale Ale, which is kind of oxymoronic in beer terms. But oh well, it tastes great. It has a big citrusy smell that hits you first, but surprisingly it is not overly loaded with hops, very well balanced.
